Notice of Privacy Practices
Information We Collect
Dehn Law Office PLLC (“we,” “our”, “us”) collects personal information about visitors to the www.dehnnlaw.com website (the “Site”) as follows.
- If you use the form on the “contact us” page, we will collect your name, email address and any message you leave.
- Our webhosting service, Aplus.net, automatically collects certain information about the computer or other device which visitors use to view the Site, such as Internet protocol addresses, browser type, internet service provider and operating system.
- Our webhosting service and its partners also places cookies on your computer or other browsing device, as described below, and information is collected from those cookies.
Why Information is Collected
The information collected is used to respond to user inquiries, to help visitors navigate the Site and to improve the performance of the Site (for example, load-balancing cookies may ensure the content of your page loads quickly and effectively by distributing the workload across several servers). Third-party services such as Google Analytics use the information to help us keep track of how many people have visited various parts of the Site. We do not collect information about Site users for the purpose of marketing.
Cookies and Other Tracking Methods
The Site uses cookies, which are small text files that our webhost places on your computer or other device through your web browser when you visit, to help you navigate the Site and improve the performance of the Site. Most web browsers have settings that disable the use of cookies. However, if you disable all cookies, the Site may not function correctly. We do not use cookies or any other method to track visitors for the purpose of marketing by us or by any third parties.
None of the cookies or any other types of tracking methods related to the Site are collected or used directly by us, but rather are created and managed by our webhosting service and the companies with which it contracts, all of which are largely outside of our control. Accordingly, we are not responsible for what information may collected by such third parties or how such third parties may use, protect or disclose that information, except to the extent we may in the future expressly authorize it.
Third-party Websites
The Site may contain links to other websites that are not under our control. These websites may have their own policies regarding privacy. We have no responsibility for linked websites and provide these links solely for the convenience and information of our visitors. You access such linked websites at your own risk.
Children
Our Site is directed at adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect or use information provided from children under the age of 13. If we become aware of any collection of Personal Information from children, we will delete it immediately.
Our Privacy Practices May Be Modified
We reserve the right to modify our Privacy Practices and this Notice of Privacy Practices at any time. If we make material changes to our Privacy Practices, we will change this notice and we will notify you, at our option, by announcing it on this Web page, elsewhere on our Website, by a blog post, by email, or by any other method we determine in our sole discretion. We will also change the “Last Updated” date at the end of this Notice of Privacy Practices. Any changes we make to our Privacy Practices are effective as of the “Last Updated” date, and supersede prior notices.
Attorney-Client Communications
Notwithstanding anything written above to the contrary, information and materials that are subject to attorney-client privilege (e.g., messages from clients sent by email and client documents uploaded by clients to us via the client portal), are solely subject to our obligations to clients under applicable state bar rules and client engagement agreements.
